The Phantom Playboys are searching for a new full time lead guitar player. We are looking for the right person to replace our current guitar player who must phase himself out of the band due to work and family obligations. The right player would need to be familiar with range of styles including rockabilly, blues, garage, surf, and honky-tonk along with some swing, latin, jazz and punk.
The band prides ourselves in putting on a lively performance and we play shows at least four times a month with one weekend out of town. Our region for weekend and occasional long weekend touring covers the Carolinas and we plan to expand to include Georgia and Virginia. Travel is a must and a requirement for any guitar candidate.
Please check out our album it is available to stream on our reverberation site: http://www.reverbnation.com/thephantomplayboys
The album includes some covers and some originals. We continue to work on more originals and hope to focus on that material while keeping the classic and deep cut covers for our longer shows, which can be 3+hours long.
All of us in The Phantom Playboys truly love to play in this band, we work hard, and have loads of fun. We really would like to find a guitar player who can join us in this fun, help us pump up the crowd and showcase their hot licks live and on our next albums!
As a band we have shows booked, a CD, PA equipment, practice space and a van. What we need is a reliable guitar player with a good attitude, professional and genre appropriate gear, and time enough to learn our material and hit the road! If you or anyone you know wants to know more please contact us for info and a complete set list.
